sharad haksar, is an indian photographer who was the winner of the 2005 cannes silver lion.
his successful journey began way back in 1973, at the age of 3, when he was given an agfa click 3 camera as a gift. later he learnt his craft from lensman iqbal mohammad and has now branched out on his own founding the agency 1pointsize along with eye-light pictures.
sharad haksar has also become internationally known because of his activist billboards.
in 2005 sharad placed a large billboard in one of chennai’s busiest areas – one of india’s largest cities – with his own ‘work (which) is solely an expression of creativity’.
